1. Install and open the app

Install Metafield Editor+Data Doctor from the Shopify App Store. You never type your .myshopify.com URL on this website to install—Shopify handles OAuth.

2. Edit and search metafields live

Use live edit when you need to change a handful of values or search for a product field quickly. Starter covers products and variants; higher plans unlock more resource types.

Live edit is included on every plan. It is the everyday metafield tool—not only a CSV importer.

3. Bulk CSV import and export

4. Run Product Data Health (Data Doctor)

5. Metaobject Studio and bulk link (Pro)

Metaobjects are reusable multi-field records (size charts, ingredients, lookbooks). Products link to them through reference metafields.

Bulk link (Pro) is the missing Admin step: apply one metaobject entry to many products. Shopify lets you pick a reference on a single product (or paste GIDs into CSV). Bulk link lets you choose the entry, choose the product metafield, browse or paste products, dry-run, then apply—with undo after a successful run.

Is this only a CSV importer?

No. Live metafield editing is included on every plan. Bulk CSV import/export starts on Basic. Product Data Health and Metaobject Studio—including bulk link of entries to products—are first-class on Pro.
