Metaobject Studio · Pro
Bulk link: one metaobject entry → many products
When the same size chart, care guide, lookbook, or material record should appear on dozens or hundreds of products, you should not open each product one by one. Bulk link sets a product metafield so each selected product points at one saved metaobject entry. Edit the entry once—every linked product stays current.
What Shopify Admin still doesn’t do
Shopify lets you create metaobjects and pick a reference on a single product. You can also paste GIDs into a product CSV or the bulk editor. What Admin does not offer is a first-class “this entry → these products” flow: choose the size chart, choose the products, preview, apply. That is the gap bulk link fills.
Why merchants use it
- Shared content at catalog scale — size charts, ingredients, brand stories, and warranty blocks stay consistent without copy-paste.
- Faster than Admin alone — browse and multi-select products (search by title, SKU, tag, vendor), or paste a large handle/ID list from a spreadsheet. No GID gymnastics.
- Safer large runs — dry run previews which products will update before anything is saved; a successful run can be undone when products still match the linked value.
How to use it in the app
- In Metaobject Studio, create (or pick) the entry—the reusable record products should share—and Enable on products if you don’t have a reference metafield yet.
- Open Bulk link metaobjects. Choose the entry, then the product metafield that will store the link.
- Select products with Browse products, or paste handles / IDs in Advanced for export-sized lists.
- Keep Dry run on to preview titles first. Uncheck Dry run and run again to write. Undo is available after a successful apply. Then show the metafield on the storefront if shoppers should see it.

FAQ
Is this only a CSV importer?
No. Live metafield editing is included on every plan. Bulk CSV import/export starts on Basic. Product Data Health and Metaobject Studio—including bulk link of entries to products—are first-class on Pro.
Does it work inside Shopify Admin?
Yes. Install from the Shopify App Store, then open the app from Apps—embedded in Admin. This website is for learning and install; day-to-day work stays in Shopify Admin. You never type your .myshopify.com URL here to install.
How is this different from other metafields editors?
Many tools focus on a field editor or spreadsheet UI. We also include catalog readiness—Health scans for metafield, taxonomy, and variant quality—plus Studio bulk link, definitions, CSV, and backups to act on the results.
What is bulk link?
Bulk link (Pro) is the missing Admin step: apply one metaobject entry to many products. Shopify lets you pick a reference on a single product (or paste GIDs into CSV). Bulk link lets you choose the entry, choose the product metafield, browse or paste products, dry-run a preview, then apply—with undo after a successful run. Use CSV instead when each product needs a different value.
